Baby Caleb is here!

Another fresh squish for us all to adore- meet baby Caleb!  He joins his adorable older brothers Josiah and Daniel, and is sure to have many adventures ahead!  One thing you probably don't know is that I absolutely love getting to document second, third, and more babies after I've had the privilege of documenting their older siblings!  How fun is it to see all the similarities and differences, and boy does the time between these precious babes fly by!! Sneak some newborn pictures of this little guys older brother Daniel here. 

Congrats Wesley, Mallory, Josiah and Daniel! Baby Caleb is perfect and your family is gorgeous!  

Welcome Baby Norah!

I had the privilege of documenting another fresh babe not even 48 hours old- meet sweet little Norah!  The cutest tiny little human- she is just 5 pounds 12 ounces and 19 inches long.  Pure perfection!  Congrats Ned & Katie!!

Welcome Ava Grace!

Meet precious AVA GRACE, less than 24 hours fresh!  I had the privilege of meeting this beautiful baby girl at the hospital and capturing all the details of her some of her first hours of life.  A perfect little 8 pound 8 ounce bundle that has everyone wrapped around her tiny fingers already!  It is truly such an honor to be invited into such a special time and to capture the details of these special moments!  Nate & Shayna- you are both amazing and are rocking this "parenting" gig already!  You will be incredible parents to little Ava and you've got such a beautiful village to surround and support you through the hills and valleys of parenting.  Congrats!!!  

And I think it's safe to say, these FRESH 48 sessions are going to be some of my new favorite! Enjoy!! 

Baby Liam

Got to meet adorable fresh Liam !  What a sweet little baby boy.  I remember doing his big brother Jonah's newborn pictures, not even two years ago.  Let me tell you, it's crazy how DIFFERENT they look!  I was expecting the little guy to look like his brother Jonah, but he's only got the slightest similarities. One thing they certainly have in common... they are so handsome!

Welcome Baby Ciana!

This girl is a DREAM baby! She is absolutely perfect in every way... lots of dark hair, beautiful, tiny, and just all around simply precious! I was oohing and aahhing over this girl the whole time and I think I probably said how beautiful she was about 1,000,000 times!  And I know her family thinks the same... she's got them all wrapped around her tiny fingers already.  

Welcome to this world little princess.  Everyone is so very happy to have you here! 

Tenut Family

Gahh!  Another adorable family!  These guys braved the cold and wind and little Jonah was a champ and was flashing smiles left and right!!  I very excited for little Jonah to be a BIG BROTHER too!  I cannot wait to see if he'll have a little sister or brother!  Just a few more weeks to go! 

Erika & Jake, you are so incredibly blessed!  Thank you for giving me the opportunity to capture such a special time in your lives. 

Casanova Family

I've heard it said that one of the highest compliments is for a customer to return again... and it couldn't be more true.  I am so very honored that this family has come back for the third year in a row!  They've been with me since the early days of this little business, and I couldn't be more thankful.  Ruth, Curt, and boys... thank you.  Thank you for giving me the honor of capturing these special moments for you every year.  And thank you for being so darn adorable and fun to work with!  You are one of the reasons why I love doing what I do!  

Kane Family

I've got to say after two weekends of mini sessions- they are my new favorite thing!  It is so very fun to meet a family for the first time and get to know them a little in 20 minutes time and capture such fun images! By the end it feels like I've known them longer than 20 minutes and I LOVE it!

Heisler Family

These pictures just want to make me squeal with delight.... goodness do I love this family!  Wade, Kiersten, and little Piper are such great friends and aren't they ADORABLE?!  You would never know that it was windy and chilly (thanks Chicago!) for our shoot because little miss Piper just smiled the WHOLE time!  Love that little cutie and all her spunky sass! :) 

Bacon Family

You may recognize this family... I had the privilege of doing little Daniel's newborn pictures a few months ago.  It is seriously so much fun to see the same kiddos every few months and see how much they have grown and changed!  So so so cute!!! 

We had such a great time together!  I always enjoy having friends in front of the lens time after time! :) 

Bishop Family

Another sweet family from last Saturday's mini sessions... these girls were just too cute and full of giggles!  Sisters are the very best of friends- and these two are no exception!  And mom and dad are celebrating their 10 year anniversary this year!  Congrats!  What a great time to have family pictures taken- such an honor and pleasure! 

Price Family

Saturday was the perfect day for fall mini sessions and I got to meet the most precious families! And let me tell you... it isn't easy picking out favorite images for each gorgeous family!  

Meet the Price Family!  This is the first time I've met this adorable family and they had such a beautiful warmth about them.  Of course sweet little Emerson was the star of the show- funny how kids do that, huh?!  And I love that they brought their handsome furry friend Booker.  Aren't they the cutest? 

Baby Juliet

Don't you love when things just seem to work out and be meant to be? Rob and Natalie connected with me through a mutual friend a couple months ago.  Let me tell you, they are the kindest people and and we seemed to just click right away.  It wasn't until a few emails back and forth that we figured out that we live 2 and a half hours apart!  Now at this point, we could have parted ways, but I'm so glad they decided to stick with me as their photographer, otherwise I would have never met the sweet little one you are about to meet.  It was so so special to drive down and meet little miss Juliet and see these two wonderful people again.  Makes me wish we lived closer to each other! 

Sometimes it's hard to find words to describe the joy and beauty I see in these fresh little babies. I'm at a loss for words.  She is simply perfect. 

30! 30! THIRTY?!

Ahhh!  Well, the day has come!  I turn THIRTY (wha?!) today!  Wohoooo! And the obligatory picture...

A few years ago, I think I was 25 or 26 at the time, my then boss challenged me to write out some goals for myself to meet by the time I turned 30.  I'm so glad he did that (thanks Scott!), and that I followed his advice.  Not just because I love lists and a good challenge, but because it gave me a bigger picture to strive for in the everyday nitty gritty.  

Well, the dream for "Emily Adams Photography" was on paper! And I am celebrating that we have arrived and met a BIG goal!  This has been my best year in business so far (and we're only half way through!)- and it's all because of my lovely clients and all my cheerleaders along the way (especially my husband and my mom!).  THANK YOU!  

This baby has been a labor of love with doubts and struggles along the way.... but I am soo glad I stuck with it.  I so value and believe in the product: images that bring so much joy and last a lifetime.  And from how it looks-  thankfully you all believe in it too! 

So, here's to celebrating 30, meeting a big goal, and dreaming up big new goals for the next 10 years!  Bring it on 30's!  
Time to CELEBRATE!  

And about writing some new goals too.... what do you think should be on my list?!  Because right now I have no idea! 

Twin Girls have Arrived!

These identical twin girls are the sweetest little beings.  Perfect in every way and absolutely darling!  Every time I have the privilege of photographing newborns I just melt! They are just so tiny and sweet... and to have TWO of them in front of the camera?! The BEST! 

Jon & Celia, I am so very thrilled for you!  I know you two are tackling this together... twice the work and and sleepless nights, but no doubt, they are twice the blessing! 

*Side-note:  I don't usually post black and white images on the blog, but am in love with these!  Every gallery I send out to clients always includes black and whites of a handful of my favorite images from the session.  

Jonah is ONE! Hooray!!

This little ham turned ONE yesterday!  I still can't believe how fast this year has gone by... seems he went from newborn to a little boy in the blink of an eye. 

Jonah- you are such a pleasure little guy.  Those sweet smiles you so easily flash my way are why I love what I do.  Your momma and daddy are absolutely smitten with you- and I completely understand why.  You are their pride and joy and I'm sure they could burst with all the joy and love they have for you!  

Cameron

It's been a couple months since I've had this little guy in front of the lens, and oh my he just grew to be even cuter!  If that's even possible!  I just love getting to see such precious little ones grow and change.  And man do they change fast!

We spent a lovely sunny morning together yesterday enjoying the fresh blooms and bright green grass that spring has brought us.  Can't you just feel that warm sun and smell the spring air?! Enjoy!  

Jon, Celia, & baby girls!

I can't even describe how thrilled I am for my friends Jon & Celia!  They are expecting the arrival of their TWIN GIRLS in just a few short weeks.  I remember praying for these two to have a baby... and now God has given them two at once! I still can't believe it and love God's sense of humor.  What a delight these two girls will be to their mommy and daddy.  And don't you agree that Celia is just rockin' that sweet bump?!  Love this beautiful mama! 

Rebekah

Oh I can just taste the warmth on the horizon... Chicago has almost made it through the long dreary winter months.  I'm looking back with fondness to this senior session we caught on a beautiful fall day just before the cold settled in.  Rebekah has the cutest laugh and the most piercing blue eyes.  And isn't she a natural in front of the camera?  

Rebekah, you are a smart young woman with so much life ahead of you.  I can't wait to see where this life takes you!

Welcome to the world little Daniel!  You are one lucky little guy- your family is darling and so very excited for you to be here, especially your big brother Josiah!  He has all kinds of fun in store for you!  And let me tell you, they are so blessed to have you too!  You are such a sweet little one!
